Do you need to feel more at peace?
Being able to connect with our dreams and desires requires a sense of peace, opportunities to connect inwards and work on the steps towards our dreams.
On today's blog I spoke with breathwork coach Amber Doughty.
This is what Amber had to say about finding that missing piece.
For years, I found myself caught in a relentless cycle of burnout, constantly pushing myself to the brink in search of fulfilment and purpose. Despite my achievements in education and my dedication to my career, something always felt missing. It wasn't until I discovered the transformative power of breathwork that I finally found the peace, connection, joy, and abundance I had been seeking all along.
My journey to this revelation was far from straightforward. Becoming an accredited coach was a significant milestone that equipped me with powerful tools to shift my mindset and help others change their lives. This step alone was transformative, opening new doors and perspectives I hadn't previously considered.
However, the most profound shift in my journey towards self-discovery came with motherhood. It brought me closer to my true self than I had ever been before. Yet, paradoxically, it also highlighted the unsustainable nature of my lifestyle. The decision to home school our daughter while maintaining a demanding full-time role in healthcare, coaching over 100 clients, pushed me to my limits.
The burnout hit hard and fast. Emotional outbursts became a daily occurrence, and I found myself teetering on the edge of collapse. It was a stark wake-up call – something had to give, and it couldn't be me. My family needed me present and whole. This realization led to the difficult but necessary decision to leave my role in healthcare.
It was in the aftermath of this decision that I found myself in a hall, participating in a breathwork session that would change everything. The experience was nothing short of revolutionary. For the first time in my life, I felt a profound sense of peace – not just quiet, but a deep-seated feeling of safety and contentment. In that moment, I knew I had discovered the missing piece of my personal and professional puzzle.
This epiphany led me to become an accredited Influential Breathwork™️ Coach. Now, I combine my coaching expertise with breathwork training to offer a holistic approach that supports clients on mental, physical, and spiritual levels. This integrated method has proven incredibly effective in creating lasting transformations for my clients.
Breathwork has become the cornerstone of my practice, offering a direct path to inner peace and self-awareness. It's a powerful tool that complements traditional coaching techniques, allowing individuals to access deeper levels of consciousness and unlock their full potential.
Through my own journey, I've learned that true fulfillment comes not from constantly pushing ourselves to the brink but from finding balance and connecting with our inner selves. Breathwork provides a simple yet profound way to achieve this balance, offering a respite from the chaos of daily life and a means to tap into our innate wisdom and strength.
As I continue on this path, I'm filled with gratitude for the challenges that led me here and excitement for the future. I'm honored to share more about my story in the collaborative book alongside 27 other inspiring authors in "Ripples of Positivity," set to be published on October 21st. It's my hope that by sharing my experiences, I can inspire others to find their own path to peace, purpose, and fulfilment – whether through breathwork, coaching, or their own unique journey of self-discovery.
In the end, the message is clear: sometimes, the key to unlocking our potential and finding true peace lies not in doing more, but in learning to be still, to breathe, and to listen to the wisdom within ourselves.
