Having an opportunity to bring your dreams to life, today's blog I will be joined by Lisa Matthewman who sings her way through life and has manifested some incredible dreams and desires.
Vision Board Queen - Tell me a little bit about who you are and what you do?
Lisa - I’m incredibly passionate about music and music education I feel honoured to be a Certified Music Educator in Early Years, running ‘Music and Movement with Lisa’ which are music sessions for under 5’s, SEN children, intergenerational and adults with learning difficulties. I have a fabulous choir – ‘Big about Singing’ which celebrated singing and performing for 15 years last year. We get together every week, to sing and learn new songs, we perform around the county of Northants. I’m a mum of two and nanny to three gorgeous grandsons ages 5 months to 13 years, who I love to spend time with. I’m a motorbike rider (passed my test nearly 10 years ago at 48 and ride a Kawasaki Vulcan 650) love to get out and get some wind therapy. I live with my partner Keith in Rushen, Northants, we have been together nearly 14 years, its through him I found the love of motorbikes.
Vision Board Queen - Can you share one of the things you have manifested?
Lisa - I love vision boards and a couple of years ago I ticked off a big goal, which was having our house renovated, walls knocked down and a new kitchen, I also got a purpose built office in the garden. Each day this office brings me so much joy.
Vision Board Queen - What was the most recent achievement off your vision board?
Lisa - Then just this month I got to tick another goal off, which was buying a VW T4 camper! It needs some work so that’s a fun winter project!
Vision Board Queen - What other passions do you have besides singing?
Lisa - I have a love for home fragrance and I run a second business, ‘Elegant Essences’ with my beautiful daughter Sapphire, we have been Scentsy consultants for over 5 years, growing a successful team of other consultants.
Vision Board Queen - Do you have any other exciting things happening soon?
Lisa - I recently collaborated on a book aimed to empower and inspire other women. I really wanted to be part of this, firstly to get my story out there and help others who might have gone through what I have been through. Secondly both my parents had written books in the past. My dad wrote phonic books for children in the 80’s and they are still read today. My mum wrote a novel which she self-published, I have a second book she wrote but we lost her before she finished it. My chapter is around the struggle of getting though divorce and bankruptcy and how I survived and came out the other side and now have my two successful businesses. I am very excited for the book to be launch on 21st October.
